The Institute has six categories of membership: Affiliate Member, Student, Full Member, Associate Member, Certified Member, and Fellow.
Affiliate members:
Non-professional level of membership. The grade of Affiliate is open
- to students in tertiary institutions(i.e. Polytechnics, University colleges and Universities)
- to individuals in other profession who are interested in associating with the Institute.
- to individuals working in HR but do not meet the entry requirement for other categories.
Student Membership
Student Membership is available to individuals who are pursuing the Institute’s Professional Certification Programme.
Full Membership
Full Membership is the category for members who are admitted to the Institute on the basis of work experience as HR practitioners.
Associate Membership
Individuals who pass the final examination of the institute are admitted and designated as Associate Members.
Certified Human Resource Practitioner
Upon the completion of project work at Level 4, an Individual is designated as Certified Human Resource Practitioner (CHRP).
Fellow
Fellowship status is conferred on individuals who have made significant contributions to the Institute.
