On April 16, 2018, undergraduate students of Ashesi University were treated to a talk by Ebenezer O. Agbettor, the Executive Director of IHRMP. His talk was on “What Employers Expect From Employees”

He covered The Employment Contract; What Employers Look for in Employees; How to Acquire What Employers Expect; And Getting through the Door.

He also used the 70:20:10 Principle of Development Model to explain self-development.

He explained that a combination of talent and experience is what makes a person employable.

70% of a person’s development is acquired on the job; 20% from contacts of influential persons providing feedback and coaching; and the final 10% is gained from concepts from formal training.

The talk ended with a question and answer session.
