Membership Categories

What’s the right membership grade for you?

CIHRM membership category is a testament of your level of competence, knowledge, and impact in your profession or workplace. It affirms the quality and depth of your professional capability to workmates, clients and potential employers.

There are different membership categories for different levels of experience for people working in the HR profession, from a Student Member building their skills for the future, to a Fellow who have proven record of HR work experience and support to the development of the profession.

Affiliate Member

For people who make use of HR standards in their operations but not necessarily in the HR profession.

Associate Member

These are those who have completed the level 3 of the Professional Certification Programme.

Full Member

For those who have a demonstrable years of work experience in HR and have held key HR roles.

Chartered Member

This category of membership recognizes those who have shown the ability to handle complex and strategic change in the workplace.

Fellow Member

For those who have demonstrated strong competence in the people profession for at least 10 years and have contributed immensely to the development of HR in Ghana. They are known as experts who are very resourceful as a result of their insight and strategic contribution to the profession. Such, influence policies and change the way organisations think about managing people.
